hi all, i m starting this discussion just to inform all mylot users and mylot admin. that somebody is trying to hack mylot account infomation i just got a mail which claims to be mylot digest and when i open that mail gmail given me this information "Spam comes in a variety of forms, including fraudulent messages. This mass-messaging is called 'spoofing' or 'password phishing.' Such fraudulent practices involve messages that appear to be from a legitimate source, or the creation of an official-looking webpage that asks you to provide your username and password or other personal information. Such messages or pages could ask for your Social Security number, bank account number, PIN number, credit card number, mother's maiden name, or birthday. Spammers often ask for this information in an attempt to steal your Gmail address, your money, your credit, or your identity. Google is currently testing a service designed to alert Gmail users to messages that appear to be phishing attacks. When the Gmail Team becomes aware of such an attack, the details of these messages are used to automatically identify future suspected phishing attacks. The result: when a Gmail user opens a suspected phishing message, Gmail displays a warning. Gmail's phishing alerts operate automatically, much like spam filtering. Gmail's spam filters automatically divert messages that are suspected of being unwanted messages into 'Spam'. Similarly, Gmail's phishing alerts automatically display warnings with messages that are suspected of being phishing attacks so that users know to take care before providing any personal information. You should always be wary of any message that asks for your personal information, or messages that refer you to a webpage asking for personal information. If you receive this type of message, especially from a source claiming to be Google or Gmail, please do not provide the information requested. " So friends i just want to inform you please be little bit careful before entering your user name and password . Be take care of these things Make sure you have open mylot manually instead of clicking on any link Never give information about your account to anyone Mylot never request this kind of info. Thanks for your time. Rajiv Kumar

Hello! Thank you for warning us all about this strange e-mail that you have received. You are not the first one. I have seen another user in here posting a discussion about this strange e-mail, that claims to be from myLot. As you said, we all should be careful and open myLot manually instead of cliking any links to redirect you. Make sure you go to your navigator and type www.myLot.com. Not giving your account information was also a great warning. Some people will just tell their passwords if they think that myLot staff is asking for it. But myLot staff would never need your passwords, and if they do need any information I guess you will receive a mail INSIDE myLot, not a mail directed to your e-mail adress. Once again, thanks for sharing this with us. I am sure there are going to be more users receiving this, so it is helpful to make them avoid further mistakes, like giving out their accounts to somebody else. Respectfully, Munhozmib.
