Help! Urgent - My Dog got bitten

i let my dog outside the front yard for a little bit today and some big dog just bit him. He was yelping in pain and I rushed out and he had two patches of blood stuck on his fur. He is a maltese terrier. What should I do now as it is too late in Australia now to call a vet. I just gave him a bath. Can you suggest any ways to calm him down or soothe his pain? Thanks guys.
