I was contacted by my former office mates to have a three-day vacation by end of November this year. They are planning to go to either Davao or Panay (Philippines). I haven't casted my vote yet because I do not have an idea on any of them. I am trying to check the internet about both places and I can't seem to concentrate doing so because I am here at myLot at most times.
Have you been to Panay, Davao or both? What can you say about it? Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks!

I am from Davao. I was born there but not really grow up there. I can suggest of the places where you and your friends can visit in Davao - SAMAL ISLAND, EDEN NATURE PARK, and the PHILIPPINE EAGLE PARK.
SAMAL ISLAND is where the Pearl Farm is, but it is expensive there, there are a number of resorts in the island that is way cheap compared to Pearl Farm, and you'll get the same fun. The EDEN FARM has adventure stuff in it like the Indiana Jones stuff. The Philippine Eagle features a number of endagered eagles and other animals (like a zoo).

I truly love your place, that's why I suggested Davao first too. it's really beautiful. the Philippine eagle park and the rest of the spots are awesome. My stay there was unforgettable.

I have been to both places, and they both have delightful views and tourist spots but if I have to pick one, i'd recommend you visit davao first, then Panay later. have fun!

Hi iamcdy,
I am from davao city since birth upto now, i never been in panay. i can only tell about davao. I guess the main tourist attraction here in my city is the PHILIPPINE EAGLE NATURE CENTER, which is one of the endanger species, the crocodile park were you can see the oldest and the biggest crocodile here in davao, The Eden Garden mountain resort, where you can feel a cold weather and very nice flowers, and animals too The Malagos garden resort where you can find different kind of flower that is one of a kind, The pearl farm beach resort if you like beach and diving stuff. All of this i guarantee you is worth visiting.

I've been in both places but if I were you, I would choose Davao (definitely). Panay only has Boracay in Aklan as an attraction, whereas in Davao, you could visit more (beautiful) places as mentioned above. You'll also get a treat to the various fruits grown extensively in Mindanao (e.g., durian, pomelo, marang, mangosteen, etc.). But if you like to encounter the "aswangs" and "manananggals", you should try visiting Panay instead specifically Capiz (oopps, this is just a joke...I don't mean to offend our fellow Pinoys in Capiz). Good luck and have a nice trip to wherever you decide going to.

hi there, if you can go to both places much better hehehe. I've been to Davoa City twice and it's nice there. I went to see the Philippine Monkey eating eagle at the Philippine Eagle Foundation. Then I went to Samal island, nice beaches.
I've been to Panay Island too, in Iloilo City only and some areas in CApiz and Antique but it was in the mountain barangays where the native people of Panay lived. So, DAvao first then Panay later because Pany has 4 provinces to choose from.

Well because I am from Davao city, I highly recommend you to visit here. You will see many beautiful scenery here and that the way of living is very smooth. It is the safer place I think because our mayor is very strict in terms of implementing our safety here. I also recommend you to try our durian here and you will surely like it.
