That would be Japan. The red circle on the Japanese flag, and the symbols they used on their aircraft during World War II, symbolize the "rising sun"...or at least that is what I have always been told.

The Land of the Rising Sun? If you search around the web, you'll find that the closes thing that relates to this statement is the country of Japan. Does this help or answer your question?

i remember, we took this one on my history subject back when i was on high school. its japan. the country's name means sun origin country and that is why it is sometimes called "the land of rising sun".
