So I finally got a referral for mylot, but he/she hasn't been active for six hours. How can I make sure, or at least try to make him/her stay active? I have already posted a comment on their profile and sent them a private message welcoming them to mylot. Any other suggestions?

Congrats on the Referral.
As for keeping them active, well your guess is as good as mine. It depends largely on what they joined for in the first place. If they have joined to have a chit chat and join in the discussions, and earn a little bit on the side, then they will probarly be back, Mylot is really quite addictive.
If on the other hand they have joined because they are going to earn a fortune, then they might not be back, as MyLot is not a big earner, unless you do nothing all day and night but type away on MyLot.
Have you thought that they just might be asleep ?

Thanks. :) That is one thing I think mylot could improve on; add a section in the referral that states where the referral comes from so at least we know if they will be active or not. I agree Mylot is addictive. I have thought about the time difference and the fact that they might be sleeping and will wait a few days before my excitement goes away. Thank you for your thoughts as I agree with you 100%.

All my friends speak English fluently even though we are all from South Korea. We have at one time or another, lived outside of Korea in an English-speaking country such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, or Australia. Some have lived in Spanish-speaking countries as well. Thank you for your suggestion though.

I wish I had suggestions! I have eight referrals, six of which signed up and never even posted once. Other than pming them there's no way to contact and if they aren't on mylot they'll never see the pm.

That really sucks! That is like 75% of your referrals are inactive. I feel sorry for you since that could have been a big source of income for you. I wish I could contact them to share my great experience with mylot with them if only they would get on. I think the default settings are set so that you receive emails every time someone posts a response, comment, PMs you, etc. Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. If this were true, it might be easier to get them active.

If they grant your friendship request, you can pm them and they will get an e mail notice, but they seem to look around mylot and decide it's not for them and ignore any communication from mylot. At least that has been my experience.

The thing is, when I found out that I had a referral, I also found them in my friends list. That is how I have contacted them so far. I don't know if they have seen it and have chosen to ignore it or they are asleep. I just hope they stay active because I would rather have one active referral than 5 inactive referrals. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
