Would love to hear ways anyone has made traveling in places like Italy, Wales, Ireland, England and Scotland affordable. Anyone done a crazy trip like this on very little money?

I live in Europe so I know all about backpacking around this area of the world. I suggest shopping around to get the cheapest flight possible. It would be from a popular airport like New York or Los Angeles. Then I would suggest staying in backpacker hostels in the cities and camping in the countryside. It is also possible to sleep for a night or two on trains to save on getting accommodation. Getting a train pass is a very good idea. If a person has very little money couch surfing is an idea. Remember big cities like London, Paris and Rome are pricey so arrive and depart on a night train then only pay for one night there is a possibility to keep costs low. Good luck and happy traveling.
