You need to post discussions and respond to other discussions upload pictures comment other pictures and also u have to refer friends cause u will earn 25% of what they are doing

Sorry, I'm not much of a help. I joined there before I came here. I did pictures, posts, replies, joined groups....etc. Sometimes I got points, other times I didn't. I found the site difficult to maneuver, and extremely convoluted. And I never did figure out what to do to earn points. They don't tell you anywhere on the site. There were days that I posted and replied away, and got no points. This site is so much better, especially if you can refer friends. If you stick with Gather, I hope you have better success than I did.

I have been a member of Gather for years. Like Mylot, the algorithm used to award points is secret. Unlike MyLot, its much easier to get points. YOu earn points for viewing other peoples content, commenting, requesting friends, accepting friends, joining groups, and of course posting articles, vidoes and photos. The more views your articles, videos and photos receive, the more points you earn. To maximize the viewers of your content, you want to join groups, and publish your stuff to the groups. Once you have established some friends, they will generally try and view and comment on your content. Recently there was an update to the site, and it appears that points are not accumulating as fast as in the past. Its unclear if there was a change in the points algorithm, or simply a bug in the update that will be corrected. In the past when points were not being awarded, they eventually fixed the problem and corrected everyone's point count. I hope that helps. If you have any specific questions let me know.
