We enjoyed watching our latest DVD watch The Forbidden Kingdom of Jet Li and Jackie Chan. As expected a lot of action scenes were there considering the two most famous martial artists were in cast. But I must admit that I still enjoyed Jackie Chan's Rush Hour sequels than this film. This film is set on classic scenes, but you will notice and think that they shot the film on a studio. I don't know but there's something on it that made me think so. The plot is also simple. The monkey warrior played by Jet Li was enchanted and frozen by a bad warrior king by cheating him on a duel. The boy, who was the one who played on lead role on Sky High, came from the modern world, and he was assigned to bring the staff to disenchant the monkey warrior. He was defended by Jackie Chan, apparently playing the role of a drunken master, and by Jet Li again who played as the twin of the warrior monkey. Jet Li's role was more prominent than Jackie Chan since in the end Jackie Chan fought with a lady witch while Jet Li fought with the bad warrior king. But of course, the one who was able to slay the king was the boy. I still recommend this for a collection. After all, casting Jet Li and Jackie Chan in one film is a very rare thing to happen.

the movie is amazing with respect to the stunts and high level martial arts,,,
but as there is saying everything tht glitters is not a gold
because there is a flaw in the movie
it is been shown tht people exist in both the world simultaneously
and Jackie Chan warns Michael Angarano abt dieing in tht emperors era and he will die in his world but in the end the heroine Collin Chou will die and she will be alive in the modern world.. haha kind of funny but hardly movie lovers will notice it
and in the beginning of the movie it is shown tht the normal soldiers are also highly qualified in martial arts and are able to jump mountain to mountain but in the ending they seem worthless with the fight with the Michael Angarano.. so
i dont exactly want to degrade the movie but it would have been the best
and last but not the least hats off to
JACKIE.CHAN

Yes I was able to watch this movie and I could say that I was so amazed on their action scenes. I really Jet Li and Jacki Chan all stant were exhibit well and with justice unlike those other movies where you can see that the action scenes are fake or all camera tricks.

Well, I can agree on that, except for the flying scenes, I can still know that they have harnesses when they did that:-)

I have not seen the movie The Forbidden Kingdom starring Jet Li and Jackie Chan but me and my fiance have seen previews for it,and it seem like a pretty good movie filled with a lot of action, especially since Jackie Chan and Jet Li are both good actors and have been in a lot of good movies,my brother bought The Forbidden Kingdom several days ago and he said it was a good movie,so maybe he will bring it over here one day when he spends the night so me and my fiance can watch it and see if it is any good.
