Too Nice?!?!

Yes, I'm too nice for my own good! I'm probably one of the nicest people u can ever meet. Yeah, I know I don't look like it, but ask my ex wife, a few "friends" ( the culprits) and people who are pretty close that watches the whole thing unfold! I let all types of stuff slide, n I'm actually pretty much tired of it! But, it seems as if I have an uncontrollable desire to help people, ESPECIALLY when they don't deserve it! Don't know what my problem is, I'm trying to slow up on all that craziness!
As many people as I helped, whose helping me now that I need it most? Exactly, NO ONE!!!!! It's very disheartening and upsetting, and they still take advantage even when ur down, how selfish! So I'm trying to be the guy they can't come to anymore, IT'S ME TIME, me and the people who actually deserves my help!!!

I get this a lot too. Probably why I'm a walking doormat. I let a lot of stuff slide when I should really just jump a person for making me feel worthless. I get annoyed afterwards when I don't do anything about it. But I like being nice. Plus since there are few genuine people out there I feel lucky to be one of the few. More people will most likely remember you.

Totally agree! The sad part is, when the people around you who actually care about your feelings see this, they get upset and call you a punk or say to speak up! They just don't understand the thought process behind it. It's not that we/I can't stand up for ourselves, I personally just rather avoid the stress and frustration of all the bickering and let the person realize how wrong they are or make it a situation where they know they need me and can't get the help, because....!

Oh,my friend ,you seem to be so kind hearted .From your posts I can feel your help anytime .Maybe you are not rewarded ,but please believe that doing good will do you benefite .Don't complaint for your doing ,you are great all the time ,forever !Good luck ,my friend!

Everyone needs "me" time at times, and I have been here many times before. I tend to cut off the people that do this to me, as they are nothing but energy draining. People like us are nice all the time because we want people to be nice to us, but the ironic thing is that people won't be nice to us until we show a little backbone and not bend to their whims constantly. Do you Terry, and everything will fall into place.
understanding! People are like leaches, suck u dry then they're gone! Whatever, when it's time to do your thang, that's all that matters!

Well there you go, but will you go through with it? You must be strong. I know what you mean though when you help and are nice to everybody but they won't help you. Its disappointing.
