High school jobs are no fun...

Especially when they are so repetitive. I've worked at a Tops grocery store for about a year and a half now, and it absolutely sucks. The job doesn't pay well, and I've come to realize that I hate how inconsiderate/lazy/annoying people can be. Seriously, I die a little inside each time I walk into that store (not really haha), but its come to the point where I can't stand being in there. Any suggestions for me?

The way the economy is today you maybe should be happy to have even a lousy job. Many jobs are doing the same thing over and over. But all jobs are nice for one thing. A paycheck

Foremost if the 'repetitiveness' of a job poses a problem to you, I guess you're the type of individual who seeks adventure or challenges while doing your work. If this is the case, then you should jump into another employment which should fill your indulgences or urges; and you might try your luck on sales. I consider this area a challenging one, aside from providing a salesman with plenty of benefits and privileges. I can say that we're quite different in this arena. I have been employed for more than ten years now and since I started working after graduation, my nature of work has been the same, more or less. However, I couldn't say that I'm contented with the salary. Before I graduated from college, I was able to try my luck with another type of job for 'undergraduates' being a student assistant with the school I attended from kindergarten until high school. The job was okay with me because primarily it was a summer job but I decided to pursue a 'real job' where I could practice what I learned from the course I took and passed in college. I definitely suggest you search for another job where you'll feel fulfilled because I can sense that right now, you're only dragging yourself in going to the workplace. Good luck and God bless.

Welcome to the reality of working life Most jobs suck after awhile, unless you are doing something that you really, really love. A job like the one you have does have one bit of an upside. It shows future employers that you are willing to work even if the environment at that job are not the best. Your best bet at this point is to try to find another job while still working at Tops. The best way to find a job is to already have a job. I don't know why that is, but it is just a part of life. Good luck
