I love warming up with a fun improv game. I love the questions game, park bench, taxi cab, and other games but there are so many more games out there too. Do you have any good improv games that a group of thespians can play? ;) thanks!

I've always like charades as an improvisational game (if that is what your improv in short version means). A game I like to play online is www.freerice.com because it helps provide rice to poor families and it has lots of variations like word games, other languages, math game s and so on. Welcome to Mylot. Thanks for answering one of my discussions. I know what it's like to have no responses for some discussions. I still have some (but you will have to look a few pages back). It takes awhile to find devoted friends who answer most of your discussions. First, they have to have enough interests in common with you or be really inquisative about the same kinds of interests as you. Second, they have to be fairly active, like on here as much as you are or more. Third, nice people and some times you have to weed through some not so nice ones. But hang in there. Once I hit around 2500 posts, it finally started coming together friendwise. Some people way fewer and some people way more. But you seem to be very enthusiastic when you respond, so you may do better, faster. It's the luck of the draw, like an improv game. Take care.

Awwwww!!!! Thanks you so much! An improvisational game in drama and the theatre department is a warm up or an ice break and its basically a game where you are put in a situation and you act on the spot. So for an example of an improv game would be taxi cab. You have four chairs that are put together that represent a taxi cab. You can draw character choices from a hat and they have to act just like that character trait. One person is the cab driver. so he or she gets in the seat that a driver would sit in and they would drive like a person with that trait would act. Some character choices could be bipolar, phobia of peeing, pyromaniac, valley girl..etc. xD its actually REALLY funny to watch and be in, but its not really for those who have stage fright. It definitely breaks the ice really well. and then the cab driver picks comes to a stop and picks up a new person. The person and the driver will talk in their traits for a bit and then the driver will take on the persons traists. and it just keeps going on from there, if it makes sense. ;) I was actually so happy and excited that ui got a response that i almost fell on my cat. xD Thanks for the advice! ;)

I watched an improv act on tv once where they picked and acted. It reminds me of charades. Take care you're welcome.
