I prefer using Firefox myself because it is so much faster and I like the variety of plugins that you can choose to incorporate in it.
My brother told me I should try using Opera today. Does anybody else use Opera?
Which internet browser do you use and why do you like it better?

i normally use Firefox, but i recently got a new laptop so for now im using Internet Explorer.
i prefer Firefox better because Internet Explorer usually ends up crashing with a system error or something stupid.
so far i havent had any problems with it, but eventually i'll probably switch.

It's always good to have two browsers on any computer anyway. Perhaps you can download it to just make sure you have a backup browser to get to the internet if your IE does go down.

Yes I feel more secure on Firefox as well. There just seems to be more blocks on it than IE.

Yes Netscape is very similar. There is another one you could try called Opera as well.

I use firefox because it is a very stable browser. Also it gives protection from spyware than internet explorer. It also has a lot of themes to customize the look pf the browser. It regularly downloads updates from the internet. It also had lot of addons. Also there is tabbed browsing to surf multiple sites at the same time.

Have you tried Keepass? It is an addon that creates passwords that are extremely secure, 20 characters long with letters, numbers and symbols. It stores the passwords in a database that is password protected on your computer for you so you don't have to remember what password you put for each site or login page. I really like it.

I used to do the same thing a few years ago. Now I am a software support technician and have worked in the field of computers for quite a while. My husband now comes to me to fix all of the software issues in the house on all 3 computers. He will even tell his friends to ask me about the software end of the computer because I know more than he does.

Try going to this site www.gur.in. I use it a lot. There are a ton of really good walk throughs to fix your computer and free software there to help you with computer problems like viruses, trojans and spyware.

I mostly use Internet Explorer, but I'm not averse to using Firefox either. One reason I'd say for sing Explorer is that Firefox takes longer to load at first. Cheers!

I do not find it a big inconvenience of the few seconds it takes at first to load because the browsing to me is so much safer and quicker.

Yes I agree with you. I really like the plug-ins as well. Have you tried keepass? It is a password generator.

before i used to be an internet explorer user.but when i try to use firefox, out of curiosity ( because every body around me use firefox then ) i realize that it is really much easier to use. I donot have to open new windows everytime i am trying to open a new site. and from then on, i set firefox as my web page browser..

Great. I too use it almost exclusively now. Opera is another good browser to try.

I prefer Internet Explorer... I am not sure which ones goes faster but I think that I am just use to using that program. I have never used Firefox but on some of the computers at the university that I attend they use Safari. I have tons of friends that prefer firefox over internet explorer. In my opinion I think they all do the same thing so it really doesn't matter which one I use.

You are right they basically all do the same thing. But you should always have more than one browser loaded in case IE becomes corrupt. Just good sense to be backed up with a second browser.
