Have you ever been denied of anything?

Sorry, but today is not a very good day not for me in particular, for a sister-in-law. She was not able to get her US visa approved today. She was denied the second time. She just wanted to go to the States to celebrate Thanksgiving dinner with some relatives. It is really sad and I am feeling sad too because I saw how excited she was and how much she has fretted about this interview. What about you, have you ever wanted something so bad and then denied of that thing?
