Well, if it is really raining hard... and the streets are a little flooded... then i think i will just stay at home... since that would be better because i might catch a cold or any type of sickness that is associated with the rain or flood water...
It would be better that way because if i get sick... then that means i won't be able to go to work for a longer period of time...

If I had the option to work from home, I would do it as much as possible. I would still go to the office a couple of times per week and work just for the sake of staying in touch and up to date, but I would definitely work from home as much as possible. Doing so would save on gas and other things like wear-and-tear on your vehicle...not to mention you wouldn't have to get dressed up as nicely, and you could eat lunch right there at home every day instead of going out to lunch or having to pack a lunch.

Hi Subha
if you are talking about the nagging Calcutta rains, I would rather stay at home and work. More so because There's hardly anyone to disturb me at home and I would do it fine and may be more.
Happy Enjoying the rains and Kali Puja.

Hi there!
Oh, rain for me is my number enemy when going out. I love when it rains but when if I have to go out I hate it. I don't like my clothes to get wet especially my shoes. If I have the provision to work from home then I would use that provision by all means. It's hard to go out when it rains especially if it's raining hard.
I admire your attitude fellow lotter. You are a responsible employee I think cause though you can choose to work from home you still went to the office. If I'm your boss I would give you credit for not being lazy going to work when its raining.
By the way, why didn't use that provision?

I will visit office when it rains.I prefer to work in office,i don't like working at home,i think it is just a good place for having a rest.I always work in office whatever the rain heavily.I can concetrate working but i can't do at home.Although i know there are some good sides for working at home, for example,i need not take bus,i can wake up late,i can work with free time...but the office is good for working for me.

If I have a choice then I would like to work from home. During rains I would certainly want to avoid the traffic and all the accompanying mess.

oh I think even if you have no option to work from home it is not conducive to go to work when it rains ha ha, well my hubby has the option to just work from home and even if it is not raining, if he feels he want to work form home, he does not go to the office.

Also , a lot depends upon how one commutes. If one commutes for 3-4 Hours in Heavy Rains ; it would waste a lot of time . So;it is better to work from Home and this would lead to more productivity .

Wow!! Its a great option, which I don't enjoy....I had to go to office everyday whether it rains or not. It tough to go out when it rains hard. I don't like going out, specially when it rains. It is also very disgusting,as rains spoils my clothes.I also feel very bore.

I would have stayed at home. Today I have returned home from work to finish off some work at home. I prefer working at my own leisure in comfortable clothes and no one to supervise me and to boss me around. © ronaldinu 2008

wow.. if i have the option of not going to the office... i will definitely NOT GO to the office - unless i really have to... or required to...
but seriously.. with my current workload.. i would rather work at the office, because if at home.. i think i will be toooooo distracted by my small kidz and things to do around the house... dont think i could do much work at home - well, probably could if everyone has gone to sleep, and the dishes are done.. and the clothes are folded and ironed....
still - if i were you.. and it was raining.. and the boss didnt need me at the office - i would have stayed at home..

Hi friend, if i had the options to work from home, i would definitely work from home, as there are many advantages from working at home, such as dressing up, waking up early and taking a public transport or driving to work. By working from home, we can save money on transport and definitely it is cheaper to have meals at home than having meals outside. Happy lotting my friend!
