Do you always fail in losing weight?

I always made the decision of losing weight thousands of times and I did very well in those beginning 1 or 2 days(my way of losing weight is to eat less in lunch, no supper, which really works for me). Most of the time I just gave up as I can NOT bear starvation, I always feel very hungry in the mid-night and can NOT sleep at all, then I will get up to find something to eat,that's to say, I surrendered.
Dear friend, can you insist on losing weight(from diet aspect or exerscise aspect) and what's your good way of losing weight?

There might be MANY systems that work out there, but I am talking about this one because this actually works for me :D
IT is NOT a diet, it promotes eating whenever hungry, and it is made in such a way that you can keep it for all your life, without ever feeling stressed about forbidden foods or counting calories.
In short, what I would recommend, is as follows:
- When hungry EAT. NO exception. Every minute you spend hungry you send a message to your body, to slow down and enter 'famine' mode.
- Eat WHAT YOU WANT - yes, in the beginning that may be fat, chips or chocolate,
but no worries, with the other rules followed, that will soon change
- Eat slowly, consciously. chew food very attentively, and savour it. Notice that you might not be able to do that with synthetic foods, or grilled/fried foods, as you will get sick. Whatever you eat, savour it, slowly and paciently, make an event of it. When eating, do nothing else. No TV, newspapers, etc. And please try to put the fork down between bytes, this will also have a good effect
- When feeling full, stop. As practice please leave food on the plate, just to send the signal that you stop when you FEEL full, not when the food is done.
- Move. I don't mean exercise, people can be too lazy for that. But dance more, or as Paul himself says, think of an activity, where you sweat a lot, and you can do it together with someone, and it's also fun.. Yeah , exactly THAT, you can do it as an exercise and for burning calories :P
If you can get your hands on a copy of that program, that will help a lot, with many more details. I for one, that's how I live - eat when hungry, knowing now that it's ok, also I carry good food stuff around with me just in case i get hungry, and this has helped me reach my 6Pack abs that I wanted, so the system does work!

hi hellcord, yes, you really get the point. The vital reason for my failure is what you said, I eat too fast, never chewing, I finished my food even don't know the flavor. That perhaps meets my characteristic, I do everything quickly, yes, everything, no patience at all. I eat a lot when I feel hungry, and won't stop until my plate is empty, kinda thought of food waste. When I feel hungry, I just eat as fast as I can, to make me feel full, so I can get down to my work or doing other things.
These days I am tring to slow down eating, chewing slowly, enjoying the food. I will stick to the ways you suggest here and hopefully I will success this time.

ok, so then in short:
1. when hungry, EAT. make sure you have GOOD food with you at all times, so you're never caught off guard, and have to buy junkfood.
2. eat what you WANT. if you crave chocolate, go get chocolate, none of that eating apples instead fakery. Don't worry, you won't crave for chocolate every day of your life :P
3. eat SLOWLY. Chew food very niely, enjoy it with passion :D -note that things that you used to like eating fast you may stop liking when eaten like this. Good news is that as you stop liking junkfood, you will immediately get ideas, like for instance that you'd like grapes or oranges :D Try it, you'll see, worked for me :)
4. Put the fork / sandwitch / whatever, DOWN as you eat.
5. When full, STOP. Here, for practice it is VERY good to put a plate with food in it, BACK in the fridge, just to practice stopping on feeling, not on Plate-Empty. Same for putting back in the pocket, a chocolate or whatever, that's only 1/3 eaten or whatever. Just to always start/stop eating on gut feeling, not on how much food there is out there
6. Move - anything, any time :D
My little addition: give it time. Don't weigh yourself, don't get too impatient, just keep with this, and these are habits you can keep for a lifetime of feeling and eating good. The results will come, absolutely.

you know,losing weight is a dream of thousands girl all over the world.
I see your method,but unfortunately I don't see anything about exercise at all.
You think you can do lose weight with only following a diet,don't you?.
That is not enough.Exercise is extremely important.

hi hongson890, no, I didn't do any exercise, but lots of my friends' experience shows Exercise does no effect on losing weight but only in your muscle, which makes you stronger, but can NOT lost your weight. Keeping appropriat diet is better for losing weight.
Thank you for your advice. I will try both methods, which should help me be slim and healthy. Actually I am not fat, kinda slim, just wanna be slimmer. lol...

hi xiangclzx .what you said is right .But the main problem is that the reason to lose weight is not that strong.To lose weight and to maintain it there should be a strong and good reason because whenever you cannot control yourself then that reason will help you to control yourself .And you should find people who will motivate and support you to lose weight.They can be your friends, relatives or someone who is very close to you.And always eat 4 to 5 times a day but in small quantity because its better than eating twice or thrice a day . Because when you are very hunger then you cannot control yourself and unknowingly eat more.so eat after every 3 to 4 hrs this will not make you much hungry.And you should drink water in between this will make you feel full.And drink hot water after you have your food.This will really help you to maintain your diet and your weight for longer time

hi friend,why do you want to lose weight?
to be more slim and then more beautiful?
what's your target?
You know usually normal people are not likely to be FAT.
We are just healthy with a bit MEAT.
If you are really fat, just keep some healthy diet and healthy way of living.
Eat more vegetables and fruits, and do more sports.
Actually I think I prefer to be healthier than to be slimmer.
Health is what I pursue, but like girls who wanna lose weight, it's hard for me to insist doing sports, insist in keep on healthy diet.
