I thought you are an Ilonggo because as we know, they cannot comfortably pronounce "u". For example, listen to the old Pinoy hit ("Miss na Miss Kita" by Father and Sons who are from Iloilo; their "nalulungkot" is "nalolongkot")
Anyway, I'm not from Iloilo but I have many friends who are Ilonggos. In fact, my landlady is from Iloilo but she's not my friend. Heheh.

Hello redfujiapple! Your name makes me want for a red fuji apple, . Yes, I love turon, and that's more than a banana -que. I miss eating turon because the one who used to sell it in our area suddenly stopped selling and found anoher job. I am happy for her but feel sad for my stomach . Everyone in the neighborhood misses it as well, I think.

Yes, of course I love turon since I was a little girl. I love its ingredients and the taste, fantastic... I love it most when it has some jackfruit... It adds more taste and it makes it more delicious... My grandmother is also a big fan every afternoon she buys 4-5 turon and she can finish 2-3 also.

Hiya! that is probably a staple in my afternoon snack.LOL!
Well, that was before and back when I was a kid. Lola (Grandma) would fry it herself. Us Grankids used to gather up together and assist Lola while she cooks it. Also the same scenario when the snack is Ginataan.Yum!^_^
I dont just like toron, I love it, cause aside from fusing fruit and sweet, it also brings back fond memories.

Yes... I like toron, besides banana que. It's one of my favorite snack during the afternoon. But It's been more than a month now that I have not eaten both, since I went to Malaysia last month. Thanks for reminding me about toron. I will make sure that I'll taste it again before I return to Malaysia next week. Thanks pal!

soooooooooo much! it's one food I love to eat in the province cause they can make it better there than the one being done in manila. I like "toron" with "langka" filling. Wow, i miss my hometown.

I like toron. My aunt in Surigao always cooked this delicacy every merienda time. My cousins and I paired it with lemonade full of ice. (i'm craving!!). My aunt also put a small portion of jack fuit on eat to make it more delicious and yummy!^^,
