State's efforts to enforce immigration law may be unconstitutional?

I think if the state is helping get rid of illegals immigrants then they should move ahead. Everyone should enter this country legally, pay taxes and be respectful to the country they want to live in. Illegal immigrants - in my opinion - show us disrespect by not following our rules.

If the state is acting to assist enforcement of federal immigration law, I don't believe that would be unconstitutional, as law enforcement agencies at various levels cooperate on a regular basis. If the state is writing their own immigration laws, then there may be a problem with that...
