well, i have been hospitalized last december for almost two days. it was supposed to be just one day but some issues with our company's medical insurance came up. anyway, i was not sick of an illness that time. i just had to undergo an operation to remove a "mass". my sister, who is a general physician, went with me and took care of all the things needed for my admission. i really can't remember anything about the operation since there is a medicine known as "nubaine" injected on me, making me groggy and fell a sleep afterwards. well, i am just glad it didn't hurt at all.

I have not - and hope I never am! I have visited other people in hospital and it is not a fun thing. They have such daft rules - no mobile phonesl you have to pay extra to watch TV, the food is appalling, the staff do not know the difference between day and night, there is no privacy, it is difficult to get the attention of anyone, there is little or no communication with the doctors. a scary experience all round. Not for me through choice!

I was recently in the hospital for some serious stomach pains! They had me do all of these tests talking about appendix infections and all!! I already knew it was nothing serious, but I was there for 3 days starving cause they wouldn't feed me! It was crazy, but I'm good though, obviously, they made the big bucks off me that day for nothing!

No I have never been hospialised so far and I hope I won't be either. I am abit apprehensive of going to hospitals and once when a friend of mine was hospitalised and I went to visit her, I actually fainted just being there - which was really embarassing to say the least...

i did 5 years ago. had my gall bladder removed. it was infected. i didnt want to deal with the pain again so decided to have it removed immediately..
nubaine is a pain reliever. it is a real strong one so you wont feel anything and would just sleep the whole time..

to add to that, they found 115 uncrashable stones from my gall bladder that's why the pain was really terrible.

I have when I was younger, but I havent been a patient in a hospital since when I had my son in 1988. I hope not to go back anytime soon. Hospitals are not much fun to be in. My husband had surgery in 2003 and that is the last time I was in the hospital for an extended period of time, although not the patient myself.

The last time I was in hospital was in July 2007 and I had a partial hysterectomy, I was meant to be in for a day or two but ended up being in for about 4 days due to problems with my blood pressure. I thought that would be the last of it but through problems resulting from that operation I may have to go back in for more surgery next year, not happy!

I was brought to the hospital twice when i was still a kid.The frst one was because i was needed to be injected with something(i dont really know what it is since i was very young back then)because of low blood counts.I was not admitted and i did not need to stay overnight there.the second one was when i was accidentaly hit by a motorcycle. After a few examinations, the doctors found out that i am okey and was allowed to go home the very same day.I have never experienced beng admitted and spending a day or more inside a hospital.I wish i would never experience that.

hello my fellow myLotter, i was hospitalized at the age of one. fortunately i don't remember. my step dad put me in hot water and burned my feet badly. i am scared for life on my feet. unable to ever wear high heels or sandals. which does a number on my self esteem.

2 years ago i have been hospitalized due to an accident. I was involved in a car accident and hit my head on the head rest. I had to stay in the hospital for 2 days because they are observing me for aftereffects of the crash.
I have to do a lot of test and CT scan. Good thing, I was already in good shape after two days.

ive never had to stay overnight, and hope i never will have to. however i have been to hospital for numerous ailments and such which have proved to be less serous then first expected.
Hospitals in general are a horrible place, and always bring back bad memroies so when possible i stay clear of them but my two grandmothers are in there pretty much every other day so i see alot of hospitals...

Yes, I've been hospitalized when I went into labor with my kids. Though my kids and I only stayed the mandatory 24 hours. Once we were given a clean bill of health I left with my babies. LOL
When I was a toddler I was hospitalized because I was deathly sick with spinal meningitis. At one point I fell into a coma. By what my mom told me I was there for a month. As scary as it must have been I have no recollection of any of it.

Hi ,
Glad things are okay and cheers to great health
Oh , yeah i have been in and out hospitals many times . for stiches , and twissted ankle and things like that . But ya i have stayed over night a few times . In high school in the 7th grade my asthma was pretty bad and i stayed a few days getting breathing treatments .Then in the 9th grade i was sick with my tummy and all that and was in and out getting all sorts of test done . fianally months later they figure it was my gall bladder but by that time it messed upa few other things , so that had to be all taken care of before i could have my gall bladder removed . ah, that stay was for 9 days and they didnt let me eat or drink .
few years ago was back for a breathing treatment ,but didnt have to stay .i hate staying .

Yeah, I was. When I gave birth to my first born child. For some reasons, i needed to deliver the baby through caesarian method. I was aware of what's happening during the operation coz I can't sleep though i was so groggy that time. I was also operated for goiter the following year. It was 2005 and 2006 respectively. During the second operation, I let myself fell asleep coz I was told to do so.

I have been to the emergency room three times this year alone. I went in once for a fever that I had for three days and once I went to the hospital all the did was give me antibiotics, which was the biggest waste of time.
The second time that I went was for a cat bite, which they gave me a tetanus shot.
The third time was for a car accident and the doctor's sucked and I was later discharged without any x-rays and just a handful of motrin.
