I came across some self Hypnosis recordings at local flea market a few weeks ago.
I have always been curious if they truly work.
Is it possible to reach the subconscious mind and change thought patterns and behavior?
I have seen all kinds of hypnosis tapes from losing weight, stop smoking, building self-esteem.
The ones I bought were to fall asleep faster and one to reduce the stress in your life.
I will say the three times I listened to the "fall asleep faster" recordings, I did fall asleep!
Now part of it could have been the gentle music and lovely relaxing tone of the woman's voice on the recording but it really did make me fall asleep faster!
Not sure about the reducing stress one just yet.
I have been feeling less stressful but it could be because I am finaly getting more sleep:)
I have always wanted to try and see a Hypnotist in person as well..
It would be an interesting thing to experience, but not sure if it really works.
Have you tried the self hypnosis recordings or been to a hypnotist?
Did they/it work for you?

Let me know what you find out. I would really like to try these but have been to worried it's just a bunch of bs and they don't really work. I would really like to find out. By the way what does it cost for one of those recordings?

well I got mine at a flea market..they were used so they were really cheap.
I bought two and they were only $2 each.
I think you can download some free on the internet as well..
Then just pop some headphones into your computer and have a listen.
I think if you look on youtube there are also some but haven't yet tried those myself

Hypnosis can be very effective for stress and sleep...and many other things. I had my first session is 1991 to quit smoking. It worked so well that I had to learn more about it. I got certified and have been a Certified Hypnotherapist ever since.
Hypnosis IS NOT dangerous. Your subconscious mind is always listening (even when you aren't), and will not take in any suggestions that are not within your personality/moral values to do.
Of course, a cd or tape made specifically for you and your particular issues will be more effective that a generic recording, but even the generic ones work well for many people.
Hypnosis works!!!

but sometimes hypnosies are dangerous and work not the way we want them to work; well, stubborn creature as i am, it's oh so difficult to hynotize me;) i mean something like http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=TAK2_tVPsIM can get me to a different state of mind and works fine=)
good music is good hypnose for me
as i believe in a deep connection of music and soul
good music makes my soul better:)
