1. Maybe god wants us to meet a few wrong people before the right one comes along, to appreciate the good one's.
2. Love is when you take away the feelings, passion, and the romance in a relationship and yet still have enough reason to stay and care for that person.
3.When God closes the door, he opens the windows. But often times, keep on staring at the closed door, ignoring the windows.
4. Best time with your friend is when you just sit around and swing around with out saying a word, and yet it is the best conversation ever had.
5. We don't know what we've got,until we lose it, and we don't know what we've been missing until it finally arrives.
6. There are things you'd love to hear but will never hear it from someone you would like to hear from. So don't be deaf hearing it to somebody who also wants to hear it from you.
7. Don't go for looks, it's deceiving, don't go for wealth, it fades away. Go for someone who can make you smile, it takes only smile to make the dark days brighter.
8. We only have one life to live, make the most out of it. You will become what you believe.
9. A careless word, may kindle strife. a cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. A loving word may heal and bless.
10. The happiest of people does not have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
11. Happiness lies for those cry, those who are hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried, for only they can understand the importance of people who have touched their heart.
12. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past,let go of all your past failures and heartaches...

Thank you for that - very touching.
Perhaps in addition - everything in moderation, the excesses of youth are a downpayment on old age, remember to compromise as some arguments are not worth winning, do unto others as you wish them to do to you, let (s)he who is without sin cast the first stone, every cloud has a silver lining, when things go wrong remember if it does not kill you it will make you stronger, learn from your mistakes...

Please feel free to do so. It makes a nice change from all the negative stories circulating to offer some positive words of encouragement.
Since some people are superstitious about the number 13, here is another one that keeps me going....
Give me the strength to change the things i can change, the tolerance to put up with the things I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference..

Hello grace, I agreed with most of what you said which is fulfilling as always. The only one that I disagree with is: 2. Do you really think that this is so, because you got to look at it in all different angles. When the love and passion is gone, the eyes is being open and you see all what Love and Passion clouded and then you asked yourself what did I see in he/she. After analyzing and trying to do what this sentence say after a while you just has to split. Because you becomes miserable, hard hearted when you look at the hurt, abuse etc you have taken because your eyes were all clouded. Your whole inner being and self esteem damage do you think you can overlooked all this and still take care of the person. I think I could but after looking back at were I was and all the years that was wasted because of this individual I just have to think all about myself now.
After a while that caring nature is no longer there. It is like when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge and found out that they were naked. This is what happen after the love and passion gone you see what the individual was really like.

hi kerriannc, i respect your view then, i just thought that a real love, not just lies on the passion and the feelings itself. its like when your old enough and you see all the wrinkles and every weakness of an old man is like and yet you keep on living with this old same person and still want to end your life living with Him..All the passion were gone, like what we use to have now and then, you mjust can't figure it out, why on all people in this planet, living with out him would really be a mess.. I guess, that's my thought about having a true love.
But of course you have all freedom to have your own point of view. And I do really appreciate it. I don't take it as a disagreement, only a difference in experience and thoughts. and there is no such thing as correct and wrong thoughts with this kind of post, because it depends on how we see things...

oh don't misinterpret my response though, i agree with what you say when at this time early we lost the passion and the feelings. it is really a case to case basis here..(lol)

good thoughts, but most of it is easily said than done,,,1 ... how many people appreciate the good ones, they normally judge a person by their visual first
2 ... we might survive the lost of our feelings, passion and romance but what will happen when the other feels such way
3 ... the window seems to be contradict to point 2, the door is current lost relationship as we are busy tending and carring for the person we seem to ignore the opportunities at the window
4 ... no comments as i don waste time with friends, i love my cats who listen to me
5 ... contradicting to point 3, how do we see the window if we keep looking at the things we have
6 ... agreed
7 ... how many man will agree to this and marry a ugly woman, a fat woman ..
8 ... we may become what we belive if there is opportunity and the package .. i may belive i am beautiful but i may not become ms universe or an actress ... and making most out of our life is handicapped by our responsibilities
