I don't know what to make of online relationships. Are people saving time by searching for love online? Is it more efficient to meet someone online rather than spending money going out and trying to find places where you think you'll meet an interesting person? Is it just adaptation? As we live in a more and more technologically-dependent world, are people just adjusting to life by using the internet to find love? Of course you've heard of success stories. They met in a chat room and now they're married and have 3 kids. But I think more often we hear about the person who was burned by someone online...they lied about being married or they didn't look like themselves in the picture or whatever. If you're shy then this might be the route for you. You don't have to worry about being face-to-face with a complete stranger and feeling that pressure. If you're not the shy type this might still be OK since you have the option of meeting up (unless the person lives in a different country!). Is it more likely that you'll be lied to by someone online than someone in person? That can go either way. I just don't know if you can REALLY know someone online and if you don't really know someone, how can you love them? Again, same could be said for "normal" relationships (although one day the norm might be online relationships. GASP!! ). What do you think about internet relationships?
