Would you kill a baby?

This discussion was inspired by the Sarah Silverman program in which she runs over bearded men with her car and bicycle, as she thought they were Osama Bin Laden.
What if you were holding a baby who was, for certain, going to grow up to be Osama Bin Laden, or some kind of criminal who would otherwise kill innocent people? It would not matter what you did, the child would still grow up to be Osama Bin Laden or the criminal. The only way to stop the deaths of the innocent people in the future would be to kill the baby. You would not get caught and imprisoned, either.
Would you kill the baby?
I can't even decide for myself. I want to hear some other opinions before I make my decision.

I would not kill my baby, even under those circumstances. I believe that God does things for a reason. Osama Bin Laden was allowed to perpetrate his heinous crimes for some reason, probably our character and spiritual development. I know this sounds insane to you but if you really think about it, where would we be if we had not had a Hitler, a Mussolini, or other dictator or terrorist who has caused a stir in the world? People have grown because of those monsters, society has improved and attitudes have changed.

And how are you going to predict who is going to be whome when we grow up? We are what we are because of our upbringing, our relatives and social acquaitances. © ronaldinu 2008

No, I couldn't kill a baby.
If I had all the knowledge you decribe about what this baby will be in the future I would use that knowledge as power. I would do everything in my power to prevent some of the atrocities in thier future.

No of course I wouldnt...I would seriously consider giving that child to the State though (assuming i could prove to them what I knew without a shadow of a doubt)..and if the State wouldnt take him/her I would put him/her in foster care..

No way! The baby is innocent! The baby hasn't committed any criminal acts. It's the man who has done these things.
I think that, if I knew he'd grow up to be a mass murderer and extremist, I'd watch and see what I could do to ensure that wouldn't happen, that he would grow up to be a different person completely. We can't change history, but we can mold the future!
I'd be no better than he is, really, if I killed him as a baby! He kills innocent people, yes, but just think about it... he may have killed one or two people who would have grown up to become the next HIM... or even someone worse!!!

Hi Sheepie,
I sometimes say they should be drowned at birth, but no one know the future or hoe that little baby will turn out, no child is born evil, its their up bringing and the wrong crowd they get into, sometimes too much knowledge can be deadley and that how Bin laden is the way he is, just look at where he has been to educate himself for a start and too much as well, if he was poor and has no educattion, things might have been different.

I wouldn't dare kill a baby. Only God has the power to get back the life He has given. Let the children grow and prove themselves. We can't judge them to be the future criminals. They can grow up good and end up to be saints.
