Andrews and M-Tec have great training courses for medical transcription. There are tons of companies out there who will bypass the 2-year requirement for these two schools. Career Step used to be one of those schools, but judging by posts I've seen lately they have been having a hard time with many grads at all landing an entry level position.

Hello, I am currently studying to become an MT and I am in an allied medical course. A friend of mine recently found a job home based and it made me take it seriously. The only problem is how to find an employer who hire you.

I have not done this myself, but I have heard about it. There are websites offering this opportunity. But, one has to have the proper cerificate, I would think. Best wishes to you.

I've actually been interested in doing this for quite a while & have just recently took it serious enough to start doing research on the schools who offer it. I have found one college in my area that offer the online courses, but I think Allied Health Schools or CareerStep sound best. They both help with job placement. Allied Health Schools is offering a Laptop with their package, but I decided to buy my own and go with CareerStep. Good Luck!
