Last night, we have watched yet another classic movie of Robin Williams, Patch Adams. He was a suicidal man at first and decided to get himself into a mental hospital where he found his own passion, and that is to help patients by reaching them and becoming a doctor himself. The DVD case says it was adapted from a true story. If that is true, it would be really great to find a perfect place where all people can come in because they are sick or just wants company. The movie tackled the soft issue of medical insurances and how hospitals shoo away people when they don't have money or haven't filled up forms yet just because they wanted to see their dying relatives first. The story was so dramatic, and I loved it more than the characters themselves. It was quite long but it was worth watching it. I just got disturbed when Patch lost the girl he loved because she tried helping a psychotic guy just like Patch usually does. It was just a really huge mistake.

There are some movies of Robin Williams that I really didn't like such as License to Wed with Mandy Moore. I really got bored watching it.

This is such an incredible movie. I just love Robin Williams. I think that there is a couple of lessons to be learned from this film. The first is to help people even if it is frowned upon by others. The second is to laugh, that it will certainly help make life a bit better.

I agree! Robin Williams is certainly lovable! While you can help people and love them, the world will often if not most of the time turn their back on them and you if they aren't seen as worthy or it isn't seen as appropriate. Laughter is wonderful... God created laughter and he intended it to be used for good! Patch Adams is a heart lifting and inspiring story and film that has touched my heart on more than one occasion.
