Well most of you know i have left my house & husband and staying with my daughter.I have put in for a divorce, and today the papers were signed..Last night when i got up to potty,i ran into something on the floor and broke my toe in the middle of the night..Can you believe?I heard it crack & after it happened i just layed there in pain for a few hours until the pain got a little easier...This morning it was black N blue, swollen and hurt all day.It is now all wrapped up with my three toes, and only my big toe and pinky toe is out of the bandage...It broke the toe next to my little toe...Well i just wonder what else is going to happen to me before i get all this life of mine straight..

OUCH!! I am so sorry to hear about your hurt toe. It might be small but it hurts big. Your toe will heal up good and be fine. Yu are going to heal up and be fine too. Have faith and things will work out for the best. It seems that so many of us here on mylot have lots of changes going on in our lives. I have to get my life straight too. I am going to do it too. Take care and be extra careful. When you have a sore toe it seems thats the toe that bumps things or people bump into.

I am also so thankful for my mylot friends. They have helped me so much. People who don't belong to mylot have a hard time understanding how "strangers" can help us so much. We don't stay strangers for very long, we become friends. Take care Slick, its going to be alright. I am telling myself that too. I am truly on my own too, it can be scary sometimes.

Hurts right away doesn't it? I did the same thing about four yeqars ago and I will never forget how that hurt, same toe next to my little toe. After about an hour of doing this I told my husband I thought I had broke my toe. Of all things he could have said, what does he say but, "Oh hell no you didn't break it, it would be a lot more sore than it is." Like how would he know how the pain felt, but nevertheless yes I did break it and I never did anything for it. It looks normal till I go to move it with my hand and there's no mistake you can see where it broke. My toe was sore for a couple weeks. Sorry to hear your marriage has gone to pieces. I wish you the very best in what you do but Be Careful my friend. Now that advice makes no sense----Be Careful, I'm late with that tid bit lol

MEN!!! they can say the darnest things sometimes...As if he knew how sore it was...Haha..Oh not much they can do for a broke toe except to straighten it & wrap it up...Sorry you still have problems sometimes with it..My marriage has crumbled but at least we are not angry & trying to at least be friendly about the entire thing, its so much better than bitterness...

Oh honey, don't fret. It's just a coincidence and has nothing to do with what's happening in your life right now. In the meantime, if you broke your to, you should have it checked by a doctor.. just to make sure that nothing else is broken. Above all, have faith, pray.

I've broken a couple of toes in my time. Once on the edge of the tub, I actually fell in when it happened, but caught myself so I didn't injure myself further. The other time was on the leg of the bed and I just lay over the end of the bed gasping in pain. The tub time I had been getting ready for work, but decided to call in, both because of the toe and the fact that my stomach hurt so bad - turned out that I was working on an ulcer. I can tell you that was in 1995, in May, just days after I had to put my beloved cat, the Doctor, to sleep. The other time was probably before that, because the former roommate was still working.

Oh i am so sorry that you had that awful fight with your boyfriend..That sounded like an awful fight, but i did not like that you got bloody and hurt.Did you just do that fighting? or did your boy friend hit you?If your boy friend hit you ,then he does not deserve your love..I know that after 5 years it must really hurt to break up,thats how long i was with my husband too...Its hard to give up your love after 5 years but if he hit you then you do not need to be with him,and especially marry him...As much as you love.,you cannot be with someone who hurts you..I am sorry dear..

Yeowch!!!!! A broke toe is no fun! I had one a few months ago and the first few days are probably the worst! I have faith that your life will all come together for you in due time. Sometimes it takes time though when you're crafting a brand new life after a divorce. I'm divorced too, and I remember the hardest time is those first few months when you're busy trying to make all these changes and adjust to it all. Keep the faith! I'm glad your daughter is there for you :-)

slickcut,
If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be ...
If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me ...
If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that "this will pass away, too!" ...
Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all the chains
That are binding me tight in "the darkness"
And trying to fill me with fear ...
For there is "no night without dawning"
And I know that "my morning" is near.
~ Helen Steiner Rice ~
I hope the above words will bring about some inspiration and cheer. To be able to see that life is not here to defeat us but rather to bring about new experiences and happiness through the tough times and good times as well.
Take care.

dont be too hard on yourself. maybe it just happened and was not at all connected to your divorce. i think, you're not yet over with the whole thing that's why you tend to connect every issue that you're going through right now to the divorce. move on and be proud that you have gone out of that mess while you still can and while you still have the chance to put yourself back again.

Oh goodness I'm sorry to hear you've had such a bad time of things!
I know doctors can't do anything to help heal a broken toe, but you should go to see one anyway as they might be able to give you some stronger painkillers than you can buy on the shelves, and this might help to ease the pain a little for you!
I hope it feels better soon, I know only too well how badly a broken toe can hurt!

You poor little soul. This should be a wonderful time for you ful of all things positive. Try and think of all the wonderful things that are in front of you now and put your best foot forward...not the one with the broken toe....

I think you should now thank your lucky stars. From where I sit I can see that you have shed off some negativities from your life and you should be well on your way to better things. That is, if you believe in karma. Cheers!!

I completely feel your pain! Well, your toe pain! I broke that exact toe on my right foot over a year ago. I hope yours heals up nicely because mine still hurts over a year later. I keep saying that I am going to go get an x-ray of it but never actually go over there to do it. I am a slacker. lol

slickcut hi wow I know how much that hurt. A numberof years back I dropped a gallon c an of paint on my right foot, and oh my wowie' did that hurt. It turned black and blue and swelled up hugely. my husband insisted we go to the doctor it was on a weekend and we were painting. So he sent me to x ray where they xrayed my foot. The technician said oh mymrs Hatley you did break it right across the tip. thats going to hurt for about six weeks. and sure enough that is what it did. My doctor splinted it with two other toes and made me go barefoot or wear big sloppy bed room slippers. took almost six weeks to heal. and stop hurting.I bet that did seem like what else can gowrong when you broke your toe, on top of leaving your hubby too. When it rains it pours or as we used to say in the hospital bad luck comes in threes, get the third one out of your system and you will be okay.

you maybe thinking that its karma or something well i dont know if it is or not but if you broke your teo maybe you have been saved from a car crash or something that you should have been in or missed something really bad or really good you just never know thats life if you knew everything you would want to die when you are first born
