Ronaldo has won the FIFPro Player of the Year award, which was presented to him by Sir Alex Ferguson on Monday 27 October. Some people might criticize this by comparing Ronaldo to other top players like Messi and Kaka. Ronaldo scored 42 goals last season, and contributed so much to Man Utd winning the Double. Man Utd fans will be hoping that after receiving this award, Ronaldo will be in the right psychological state to perform better on the pitch after he was greatly distracted by the Real Madrid transfer speculation in the summer and also his injury. This will help Man Utd get their title campaign back on track.
Ronaldo and Ferdinand was also listed the the FIFPro World Team of the Year.

I just hope that he will not do the Beck's act. No matter how good you are, if you find in a position that really could not promise you something, something that can be worthwhile like being in a team which is really tough, I would usually doubt if you can still do it in other teams.
For Ronaldo, the only thing he must do is to cultivate that sense of belongingness in a team. Otherwise, he will be just another Beck!

I truly admire Ronaldo. He is such a gifted player, so skillful and deceptive. He contributed such a lot to Manchester United's triumph in the EPL last season. I think he truly deserves to win the Player of the Year award. He hasn't started well this year due to injury, but I hope he will play to his true form as the season progresses. With him, Rooney, Berbatov and Scholes firing on all 4 cylinders, Manchester United will be unstoppable up front this season.

I think his performance last year deserved the award. He helped his club to not only the League title but also the Champions League Title and scored 42 goals in all, so I think that was a well deserved award.
Cheers to Ronaldo for the same.
Cheers!
