Do you have any hobbies? You could start a discussion about something you are interested in. Is there something happening in Australia that people around the world might not hear about normally? Tell us about it. What do you do for a living? What can you tell us about Australia? What kind of house or apartment do you live in? Do you like to cook food that is different from the rest of the world? Do you have children? What is the weather like in your part of the world? I am in America. Is there something here you would like to know more about? Ask questions about other parts of the world. I hope I have given you some ideas to work with. G'day.

Well, actually for me, I post back to more discussions than I ever start. I usually try to respond back to at least 10 New discussions a day if I have time, and then maybe start 4-5 New discussions at most a week if I think of something to talk about as well. As for a topic that appeals to everyone, that is a hard one as even people like me who have been here over 2 years have troubles getting many responses from some discussions in here as well.

i wish i could help you but i cant. some of my discussions are from past experience or from what i observed around my environment. maybe you can just post to other's discussions for now. eventually you might think of a topic.
