What do the stars beside peoples names mean?

I noticed in a few of the discussion that people have coloured stars with numbers in them beside their names. Is that anything special?
Curiousity got the better of me tonight.

the stars beside your name is your ranking. one your get a hundred post you will get one next to yours. when people rank your discussion that shows you what your rank is. theres like different levels and different colors i do not really know but i am sure someone else can tell you. but yeah its just your rank when people rank you it goes up and down.

it denotes rankings
these stars indicate the rankings and the different colours indicate different rankings.u will get it after 100 posts
