I made the last loan payment; now, I have peace of mind

Actually, it's not my personal loan. It was the loans of my father and my father. My last payment for my father's loan was in August and for my mother just a few days ago. I always make sure that I can pay their loans on time. I made it. I have not tried paying late even once. Now that their loans are fully paid, I have peace of mind. At least my worries are lessened. So far their loans were put in a proper place. I don't have any regret for that loan. Perhaps you might ask me why I am paying their loan. Well, I am the eldest and I promise them that I will be the one to pay for them. They might find it difficult to pay their loan.

i checked your profile before making this comment and alas it is not uncommon but you have done a great job for yourself and not only towards your parents. you deserve a path on your back for doing such humanitarian act and hats off to you. just like the saying goes, a good seed sown, always bear good fruit. keep it up and stay your feet on the ground.
i could have a breather anytime in 3 months when i finish my vehicle loan and somehow start for another project of my own. great to know your story.!!

What a good son you are! What are sons for anyway if they can't help their parents who brought them up! I think children should really find a way to help the parents financially especially if the parents are not financially capable. Anyway I understand the relief you now feel after having fully paid the loan. It's just like a needle being pulled out of your skin. So cheers! And keep on being a good son! God bless you!

We have not fully paid our housing loan. We are paying it in instalments and teh loan period will end in a few years time. How I wish I have some extra cash to put there to reduce the principal amount every year. Maybe I can discuss that with my hubby soon about that.

Wow! How I wish I could avail a housing loan. It is one of my plans. But right now, I am the one paying the tuition, miscellaneous, and almost all the needs of my sister. So I am not yet ready for that. Have a nice day!
