help with free templates

hi guys,
i wanna use a free template but wanna ask around personal experience from those who tried.
how to se it and i read somewhere some have ads incorporated in them
in one post here it says you better design your own template but the problem is i dunno how hehe much as i want to I dont know how to start coz i only have paint to use
i found lots of free template but hesitant to try
please share your experience

hello you used free templates but in html or in other language ?, but i think that is diferent that you used templates in html pages or in preninstall script as mambo or joomla if you like learning you need make your own expereincie open the archives read the code, the first days do you not understad but then you cna have little modiffied and then can created new templates.
