Help! My iPod Nano 2nd Gen got wet when the person who does our laundry failed to notice that my iPod is still in the pocket of my jacket when she washed our clothes. And now it's not yet working, I tried drying it up but still it won't work. Any suggestions on how I can fix it without going to the Apple Center?

If you tried to switch it on before it was properly dry then you will have undoubtedly done some damage that will require you to send it to the service centre. You should always dry thoroughly first, if you can take the device apart do this and lay out the components. Place in a warm place but not a direct heat source for several days before considering turning it on. Sometimes this will work 50/50 chance. Good Luck.

weep your ipod with soft towel, and then reset it!

I heard freezing electronics helps when they get wet. I've heard this method being used for cellphones with success but that was pretaining to a cellphone that only suffered a short amount of time of exposure to, for instance, a puddle of water. I presume it took a while to wash your jeans or Jacket. =( Best of Luck Jesse! -Christina - Los Angeles
