most writers have a certain time of the day when all the creative juices just pour out. i am an afternoon person, which just means that my mind rev up during the afternoon until the early evening, so that's when i start to work. i used to be a full time employee, and i absolutely loathed it if something which needs 100% brainpower has to be done in the morning.
how about you? when does your mind like to work?
the brain is a wonderful organ. it starts working the moment you wake up and does not stop until you get into the office - Robert Frost

After midnight til noon the next day, typically lol. I love the feeling of running at full power, though because these hours are weird...its sometimes hard to achieve WHEN I wanted to achieve it.

Well I do not have a good time of day any more as my mind has not worked well since I became sick. My intellect is fine but my thinking is very muddy and slow these days. It takes me ages to think and write and I often forget what I was doing and have to read it again to remind myself.
When I was fine I think I was better in the late morning early after noon. But that can vary if I get something that stimulates my mind and gets the juices flowing. Just something that triggers a response that gets my thoughts going.
I am never any good in the late afternoon as I am too tired to think by then and the same goes for the evening.

I'm a evening sort of person. My brain starts working double time in the evening around sven o'clock. In the morning or afternoon, i can't seemt o be able to think of any good ideas to write about but in the evening i come up with all sorts of ideas to write about and i even write better at night. I don't know why but that is just the way it is.

I'm pretty sluggish in the mornings, so I'd say in the evening, I'm awake mostly until the wee hours of the morning. It's also more quiet in the evening, so I can concentrate better. I've also joined an online writing community, and most members live in the opposite time zone as mine. If anyone's interested, you can check out http://www.onestopwriteshop.com It's a pretty great site for writers of different genre.

If you are an afternoon person, I am a late evening guy.
My brain seems to be too lazy in the morning and in the afternoon but when the clock strikes 9 pm, I can feel my neurons getting jazzed up. I feel most comfortable reading and working at times ahead of 9.
I just hope I am not creating too much damage for myself.

I am quite different... there is no time of the day that my mind works double time... i need a certain inspiration... like a situation or anything that would capture my mind... this is why it is difficult for me to set up a daily or even weekly schedule... since my mind is too spontaneous for that... good think i don't work in that kind of environment anymore...

I would say, night time. Coz I work night shift and when at work I need my brain to be working. Usually, at home, I am more relaxed. Just making sure that I am spending quality time with my family especially my son.

Hi kaye. I'm also an afternoon person. This is the part of the day where my mind starts to work at an optimum level going to the maximum. Having worked on a call center before has definitely taken its toll on my sleep pattern that's why I wake up late in the morning. I feel lethargic during those times and the feeling would drag on until noon and lunchtime. After eating lunch, my brain is refreshed and energized like a well-oiled machine (",).

Through out the day. As long as I am awake I am doing one ting and thinking some thing else. nfact thnking a step ahead. I have to alwsykeep anticipating if this goes wrong what next. or if this is compelte what next etc.a man can o two things at the wsame time. but one is mechanical an done is the thinking part.

me too, approximately 5 p.m. until i'm sleepy; my face in the morning says: don't even talk to me i wouldn't understand now;) try somewhere afternoon; when someone demands impossible things in the morning, it just makes me nervous (my brain doesn't function, that's why i get angry); yes afternoon is the right time for the right mood:) i'm looking forward to it only 5 hours left, i would use my musical and literary parts of brain to the utmost, i promise myself, such a plesurable usage:)

I find my mind works double time, when I am relaxed and my children are not around.
Yesterday I just could not for the life of me think of what to write. When I did there was so many spelling mistakes, you would of thought I was drunk.
I love to write in the evening time as I feel I have more to say and it is when my writting and mind is doubly good.
