I'm finally able to order my Kindle wireless reader with $50 off! I've been wanting one since it came out almost a year ago. Now, the price has gone down plus through Saturday you can order with $50 off using Oprah's coupon code (it's on my profile page). Oh, yes, did I mention that Oprah Winfrey loves the Kindle? She announced it on her show on Friday, described how instead of carrying a suitcase full of books she just carries her Kindle. It's about the size of a paperback book, plus you can download new books immediately, when you hear about them, and be reading in less than a minute. Awesome!
My Kindle's due to be delivered on Wednesday. Can't wait! Now, just to decide which book, magazine, newspaper, or blog to download first! Woo-hoo!

Oh that is cool! I want one of those. But I have a reading disability and require large print font. I don't know anyone who has one so far, but if when you get yours you could tell me if the font resizes considerably, I would greatly appreciate it!
And thank you for the info about the coupon as well! I normally read audiobooks due to the difficulties of obtaining large print books. But I might have to try to improve my text reading abilities by getting one of these.

Oh that is so cool! I may have to get one then just for text size alone. With the audiobooks, can you actually download them from the Kindle store? Or just load them on with your music? And if you can order them directly from the Kindle, is the cost similar to regular books since nothing has to be printed now, or is it still very high?
One other question (sorry, I don't mean to ask so many!)... how do you pay for the books? Does each book automatically get added to a monthly bill or is your credit card loaded and you get billed instantly?

Drannhh, so far, I love it! It meets and exceeds my expectations as far as ease of use, appearance (some people say Kindles are ugly - they're rather plain, but definitely not ugly), and how viewing the Kindle store and choosing and buying a new book works. It's so easy! I was good and read through the user's manual (on the Kindle, of course, though they include a hard copy as well), but it's very easy to figure out. I've added a blog, two books, and a sample of a book (you can sample books before you buy - how cool is that?) so far. Now I have to read! (Read the next comment about large print and audio books!) Thanks for your comment!
