Your two articles above are related to each other, Unnamed danish newspaper and unnamed writer wanted to become famous, They found no better way than to Insult Islam, after the reaction of Muslims all over the world they became famous and all the world heared about them, and the mission accomplished. In My opinion the Muslims reaction was wrong from the beginning Because Muslims didn't Ignore Them according to the teachings of The Holy Quran: [025:063] And the servants of (God) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!"; If Muslims Obeyed The teachings of The Holy Quran You would never Hear about the two Unnamed newspaper and the writer. Islam is truly a religion of peace. The Creator made the Universe, the Earth and us out of love; not because He just desired to. And with it, He also send down to Earth the various religions; all of them have been laid out with a solemn warning to Obey Him and follow His laid down guidelines. As Islam is today one of the greatest religions, encompassing the world, people have begun to label it with awful, bad terms ... all of which are totally unjustified and wrong. I ask such people: Have you read your Holy Books? Read them; understand them before commenting on Islam ... You will come across a number of what the Almighty says that will definitely run counter to what you are doing right now!

Islam is a religion of Peace and it means to submit to God. Despite the articles you have referred to you have to study Islam and there you will find its True disposition. Don't get cultures mixed up with Islam-if someone kills a female because she turned away from Islam does not mean that this is what Islam condones. It forbids the killing of any person. The Qu'ran says "Killing a person is like killing mankind".

Hellcord, I don't know much about this religion but all religion has its good and bad. It is you the individual to know if you will be comfortable in it. Religion is like a buying a new wardrobe, you try several until you find the one that fit. Some person will read the bible and interrupt it the way they think is correct. So it goes for the Curan. i belive islam is religion of peace, like other religion in the world. unfotunately, some people mentioning religions (not always islam) on their acts. i think we should never bring religion to the act we did, either is bad or good. in other way, don't judge people by their religion. I also believe that there is no religion that told people to do bad things, i belive that all religion only teach good in many ways.

Granted I dont know much about Islam BUT even so..I ahve to say its a religion of BOTH peace and fear...NO DIFFERENT to Christianity....In fact IMO pretty much MOST mainstream religions are both.

Islam is fear for those who misunderstand it, and Peace for those who understand and practice it. If one whole involve heartedly in Islam, it will be peaceful indeed. The wikipedia links says about cartoon and controversy. That cartoon never depict prophet Mohammad, and it is an insult in showing him in that way. There had many protests against those cartoons. some of then gone violent and began to do something wrong, that should not have done. Salman Rushdie is a controversial figure. There are other plenty of writers against Islam too. You can see such writers against Christianity, towards the whole religions, etc. If you think it is true it's your choice. I have found truth in Islam. Cheers.

Islam is a religion of fear, intolerance and discrimination against the other. It's infuriating how Muslims demand respect and equality from the world but never give back the same. They discuss amongst themselves how superior they are and relish the fact that all non-muslims (infidels) will burn in hell forever. They are also extremely intolerant even of each other sometimes, especially towards women. I have found it very frustrating trying to have logical discussions with many muslims as they all seem to be brainwashed and always on the defensive, as they have been trained from birth NEVER to question the teachings of Islam of the words of the Koran although it has bee proven to contain many errors (for more on this visit faithfreedom international, a site by Ali Sina, an ex-muslim).
