i am not a parent but i wanted to see how others treat their children
do you let have what they want ALWAYS?
are you too strict or too giving with sweets and treats?
do you give in too easily to the demands of a small child?

I do try to find a balance. I cannot say that I spoil my son, although I do try to check that he does not lack anything in life. However on the other hand I try to earn things rather than being given free so that he won't take things for granted. © ronaldinu 2008

HELL NO! In fact before moving back to my home town some yrs ago my kids had never had sweets etc...then we moved and along came "Uncle FunGuy" (lol my brother) who first time meeting them brought over all sorts of goodies...and proceeded to do it every time LOL...
As far as them getting whatever they want in material things..nope! Especially now that they are older and get money of their own in either allowance, bday money, money at Xmas etc etc....If they NEED something my husband and I buy it of course but when they WANT something thats a different story

well my children are only 9months so I can't really say if I give in too easily because well they need it at this stage...but we have started allowing them to Cry it out to go to bed and things like that...they are fabulous kids but have entirely too many toys though NOTHING was purchased by myself or my husband and we watch to see what they play with if they havne't played with something for a day or so we put it away...
