I think, all laptops are the same... the best is the one that really satisfy your needs. In buying a laptop, take into consideration the brand's customer service so that if something happens, you can easily call their hotline to help you troubleshoot any problems with your laptop... I think, HP is good but quite eexpensive with your budget, you may try DELL or ACER. They offer good quality laptops at very affordable prices... Try to check online first so you will know what you need to buy and what's the current market price of the unit you wish to have.
