From time to time I do pray before I eat. Other times I hate to admit I forget. I thank God in the morning every day for the blessings He grants me now and always. Everyday he gives me so many blessings and things that we take for granted and I try not to take them for granted.

knowing there are many people out there who couldn't afford a decent meal.
I use to be one of those ppl...BUT no I dont pray before a meal. I dont believe in god and the thought of praying to someone or something I dont believe in for any reason is just illogical to me...I am thankful but not to some higher power..I'm thankful to myself for having the inner strength and determination to get through all the rough times...
However I do show respect to those who do pray before a meal when I am dining with them...My ex FiL for example always prays before a meal and I sit silently (as do my children) and wait for him to be done with his prayer...Same wiht my bf and a friend of ours..they also both pray before eating and again I sit silently and let them do their thing..I dont participate though...

My husband and I do before every meal, unless we're out with friends who don't believe. We don't force a prayer on people, but we're always thankful for everything He's given us in our life. Plus before we pray, we might discuss other quick things to add, and it gives US an idea of what the other has been thankful for or dealing with that day.
