How do you get your daily news? Do you listen on the radio, watch television, or do you read on the Internet?
I usually keep my television on the news channel all day long. When I am out in my car, and I am constantly keeping up with the news through the local talk shows along with Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, and Laura Ingraham. But,I also do lots of research on the Internet for news stories nationally and locally. I like to read the newspapers online since we don't get one home-delivered. We wouldn't make use of one delivered like I do on the Internet. I can read only the parts that are of interest to me and don't have to worry about disposing of the paper.
Fox News is usually the channel we stay tuned to all day. My husband does change channels at 5:30 in the afternoon if he's home in order to watch Charles Gibson. We do watch some local news at 5PM and again at 10PM, if we aren't doing something else. I like a good balance and I also like to know what's going on in our part of the country along with the entire nation.

Hi
I usually go for the news that come from internet. I think it's good and saves my time. If I go for television, I should have to wait for the exact news hour. What to do If I am busy at that particular time? No choice, so watching T.V is good for the one who is not at all busy in his life.
Next thing is radio, The same will go with radio.. Even though we have 24 hours news channels, It's not possible to fetch the interested news with in minimum time period.
So I think Internet is a good way to fetch news of your interest faster and easier...

You are right. The Internet is faster for the news at hand. But I do keep my TV on Fox News and they talk about the latest news when it happens. I don't try to keep up with a certain program unless I'm going to record it. That way we can watch when we do have time. We have Tivo and it is great for recording a program you want to watch when you can't be around at a given time.

I getthe news form t.v. and the net. I don't look at the news everyday though. I'll check out the local news sometimes just to see what has been going on around my area. I'll look at CNN or MSNBC sometimes, but that's really mainly whenever my husband looks at it. I don't really read the newspaper anymore, since the net is so accessible, and even if you want to print something for your records, you could do so directly.

I love the Internet for that very thing. We can read, and then if we want to print out something to share with others, it's right in front of us. I like the 'sign of the times', the good technology that gives us the chance to have things like the daily newspapers right at our finger tips without even going out and buying the newspaper. I also love the radio shows, too, for the diversity in the news, and the callers that call in and give their views.

My husband usually on the Fox News also all day before going to work and sometimes stay with CNN when coming back .Fox news is interesting to watch because they make the news quite difference and they are more tough than the other reporting channel.

I certainly agree with you about Fox News. But I am sure there are many out there that don't share our view. But they give the same amount of time to conservatives and liberals. They have both liberal and conservative hosts, too. Most of them aren't bias in their reporting, although some can't help but let their views flow through if they get a tough 'customer' on there. I find myself talking to lots of them, even the commentators, at times!

My husband always watch Fox News or CNN before going to work and sometimes stay with CNN after coming back. I think Fox News is quite interesting to watch because they do the broadcasting in a different way and their staff are more tough than the other reporting firm.

My husband used to watch some MSNBC, but we got hooked on Fox News because of the reporters. Some are liberal, some are conservative, and one of my favorites is Greta Van Sustern. I know she is liberal, but she is fair and she keeps her feelings out of her reporting, and that is very rare! Other liberal stations will appear normal until they interview a conservative. You only have to look at the case of Sarah Palin to understand that one!

I dont follow the daily news to be honest, 90% of it is the same stuff I'm not really interested in, the newspapers are full with accidents/political stuff/or problems we all have, Im not interested to hear more about this things then I allready hear just from people, I do watch some news, but only the week-reviews, but then allready I have heard the subjects allready from the people I meet daily.

I must admit I listen to the news on the radio most days but find it so depressing most of the time as all the bad things of the world are displayed each day and not the good things that I couldn't be bothered watching it on TV!

I watch a little bit of news on the TV in the morning as I am getting ready for work but most of the news I keep up with is sourced online. I very rarely listen to the radio these days and don't even own one and I would love to read a daily newspaper but they don;t have easy access to English language papers here unfortunately. Thank goodness for the internet though because I have no way of keeping up to date with Australian news otherwise!

It really depends. Usually on my way to work my favorite radio station is always playing the news about the time I get in my cars so I hear some then. I also read Foxnews.com alot to find out major things going on and I will check our local news website also. Sometimes if i'm not busy enough I will catch the evening news on TV although that is rare.

Hello, Barb42.
I feel a little bad to say this, but I do not keep up with news too much. I know it is important and all, but I just don't keep up. I guess I'll be starting to take a closer look at Internet, so I can be updated about what is going on, not only inside but also outside of my Country. We need to be updated, don't we?
Usually, I see a lot of news in myLot, but I can't say I'm updated on it. I need to get informed...
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

When I was younger, I didn't keep up with the news, either. I'd watch our local news and nothing else. I would read the paper sometimes. Later, as I got early, news came more of a daily thing for me. I want to know what is going on in our country and in other parts of the world.

My TV stays on Fox News through the day unless I just sit down to watch a particular program. In the car I listen to the radio but I don't usually tune into news stations. I check the internet once a day to see what's new. That fills my day with what's going on.

Our favorite is certainly Fox News. My television is usually on Fox, too, unless I want to watch another program sometimes during the day. But it goes right back on Fox News. I do listen to the talk shows on the radio in my car, though. I'm not into the music stations at all, which bothers my grandchildren when they are in the car with me.

Listening to the news in the car makes driving less of a waste of time. I hate TV, so if I want to look something up specifically I will check the internet. The problem with the internet is that there is so much stuff constantly coming through, that it is kind of a pain to determine what articles to read. Generally it is easiest to listen to a news program to get an idea of the major things going on in the world and then look up what is interesting to me.
