It gets very cold here in Canada in the winter time. I don't have any definite plan yet. But , I have been thinking to travel to the south, possibly some nice place south of the equator. How about you ? Any plans to travel ? And , any suggestions ?

I'll be here, staying home until I go to another part of the state for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It will be a three hour car trip, and I hope it isn't like last holiday season. On our turnpike where the speed limit is 70 miles per hour, everyone was going like 30mph because it was so icy. People were sliding around. I'd rather not travel, but I think this will be my grandpa's last Christmas here on earth. So we will try to be there.

I think it is a lovely idea to get away from the cold weather for a while. I met some Canadians when I went to Belize, a small country in Central America. The dry season is from December to April I think. I went to Guatemala and explored the Mayan ruins at Tikal. I would suggest a Caribbean Island like Cuba or how about venturing into South America. It would be amazing to visit the historic city of Cartagena in Colombia and see some places along the Caribbean coastline. I live in Europe and so I would have to go to a location like the Gambia, the Cape Verde Islands or Egypt for some nearby winter sunshine. I am thinking of visiting Cape Town in South Africa my dear friend.

I dont have any plans to travel now because I really can't afford to travel anywhere
too exciting right now. If I go somewhere it will just be to visit relatives up North.

I would love to learn how to skate this winter. I love the cold winter and enjoy having snow days off for school and able to do all the winter sports i love to do every year. A lot of people hate it but then a lot of people love it and i love it. I wouldn't travel, buy a winter coat and go enjoy Canada.

That's wonderful ! Canada is a perfect place to go skating and skiing. If you can, Rocky Mountains is an excellent place for that.

I have a plan.
I will long-distance ski here in Estonia , whenever the snow comes. And so often as I can.
And then I will go to Austria, where I can snowboard .
I just can't wait for the snow to come, and my trip to Austria.
And the main plan is to survive until the next summer .:)

Hi Greenline! Your winter there is equivalent to our Christmas season which is usually a little colder than the other months. I hope it gets cold this year, because i find it more enjoyable to celebrate Christmas when it is cold. But i do not have plans to travel anywhere here in my country, i just can't afford it now. But if you ask me, our climate here now is just good enough. Not too hot and not cold. Maybe you could consider visiting here during this Christmas season, I know we have the longest Christmas celebration and i bet you will enjoy it here.
