The Mummy Returns is a great sequal to the original The Mummy movie. The actors returning are Brendan Frasier, Rachel Weisz and John Hannah. This movie was released in 2001 and as in the first movie it is an action, adventure and humorous movie. You will laugh and yet stay on the edge of your seat for the entire movie. The plot is well thought out as well! So it isn't just an adventurous and thrilling movie but there is actually a plot to follow.
The premise of the movie is during a search for an archeological find a mummy's spirit is released and he is planning to come back to life and destroy everything. The two people who released the spirit, Brendan and Rachel, go through a thrilling ride trying to stay alive against the mummy and figure out a way send the mummy's spirit back to the underworld.
Special effects and adventurous and thrilling moments are found all the way through! This is a movie you can enjoy with adults or older children as well.
Can't wait to see the second sequal that recently came out in theatres!! I've heard the special effects are better than both of the first ones and the plot, adventure and thrill are still evident throughout the film!

I really enjoyed this movie. It was apparently a bit funnier than the first one.
I liked the battle between the Medjai (spelling?) and the dogs of Anubis. I always loved swordfights in movies anyway. That chase sequence with those little critters was fun, especially the part where they fought who'd hold the dynamite that Rick threw them.
I saw the third movie. yes, the effects were superb. That's all I can say though without spoiling it for you. :-D

I'm looking forward to the third installment myself. I hope that it is as action packed as the first two. I won't say there is anything special plot wise about them, but they do have the pretty girl and lots of good action and that is all you really need for that type of movie.

Yeah the mummy returns was a great sequel to the original mummy but it still wasn’t better then the original mummy even though some parts were betters then the first one. But it just seemed more fake then the original which I really loved and that’s why I became a mummy fan even though I haven’t seen the third one yet.

I own the 1st 2 movies. I never tire of watching them. They are fun.Sorry to say I missed it in the theatre. I am waiting for the movie on Netflix.

This movie is shown in our local tv here in the Philippines so many times. Though I already know what's gonna happen, I still watch like just the the first time I saw it. The movie's just too good for me! The plot, the actors, everything! Too bad I wasn't able to watch the third installment in cinemas. Oh well, I'll just wait for its video release.

I loved the mummy and the mummy returns but I haven't seen the third sequel yet, but I was told that it wasn't very good, and that only part of the original cast stared in the film and that rachel weisz did not appear in the third film and if thats true, I think that the film most likely isn't as good as the first 2 films if rachel weisz isnt in it, because for me she help make the film interesting and cool and without all the original cast members the movie just isent the same. but I guess you can judge for yourself when you see it.

I should say it's an awesome movie. I love Joh Hannah's character,it makes things quite lively and interesting. I saw the movie in theatres,the effects,the making,the everything is too good. I saw the tomb of dragon emperor,I personally felt it was not that appealing. It was not as good as the earlier movies. Felt like something was missing. Anyways,eagerly awaiting for their next one.

i have seen this serise movies,I like The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor best,because the movie has lots of Chinese factor.But there are something I don't like,the style of film makes the audience feel the story happens in Egypt other than China.
