Do you like the new James Bond?

Nope but my daughter adores him to no end. I have to imagine he must be good.

Here in the UK we have been getting very negative reviews of the new Bond film, which is very unusual, and then we have the added negative of some very poor TV trailers, so for the very first time, I am not exactly rushing to see the new Bond film. The strange thing is that maybe we have been spoilt over the years, with each film trying to outdo the last one, whether with story line and plot or special effects, especially with Bond paraphanelia, and of course with more absolutely ravishing female co-stars. In the early days, the main argument was usually about whether the film reflected the story in each book in an accurate and believable way, but now I think we have moved on to discussions about the plot and whether the story as presented on film, is believable. On those two measurements, the general feeling so far is that this latest film fails on both counts. What will be really interesting will be the reaction as people see the film and report here on Mylot. Those of us who have seen them all will probably go along to see it, just so we can judge for ourselves and have our say.
