Wow, does this ever smell like something Karl Rove would do!
http://hamptonroads.com/2008/10/phony-flier-says-virginians-vote-different-days
A phony State Board of Elections flier advising Republicans to vote on Nov. 4 and Democrats on Nov. 5 is being circulated in several Hampton Roads localities, according to state elections officials. (End of excerpt)
Read more about it and see the rather official looking flier by visiting the site linked above. It seems to me I've heard of similar stunts in previous years and there probably already have been and will be more this election. Also, there have been some attempts to keep college students from voting by telling them they can't vote in the locale of their school or that if they do they will risk losing financial aid.

Perhaps in past years when it looked so promising that a large number of young people would turn out to vote it really wasn't the students that let us down after all! Here's hoping none of these dirty tricks succeed this election, it's just too important.

This is an age old trick annie, used by supporters of both major parties in the past as well as other candidate's supporters. Now, do you have some sort of proof this was the work of Rove? Not that I'm a huge Rove fan, but lets be fair.

It's amazing the legnths people will go to steal another election.
The good part is that we are aware of these despicable tactics and we are looking out for them.
I believe the only solution to these type of illegal activities is to make them a federal crime since the goal is to affect a federal election.
The stakes are too high to stop people from voting for the candidate of their choice. We know what party they are trying to hurt when they place the emphasis on college students.
I don't believe that Karl Rove is directly reponsible for these incidents, but I believe those who have studied Rove's dirty political tactics have learned a thing or two from him.

All the more reason that people should be informed/educated regarding these matters. Too many people take everything the see or receive in the mail at face value and never verify that it is correct.

Karl Rove is probably sitting at FOX thinking, why didn't I ever think of that. LOL I fear that future elections will continue to get worse until this country is fully divided.
I'm really glad that they set up that toll free number for legal voting questions.
