It is almost midnight here in my country and I am the only one awake. I am still doing mylot, and why I feel like I am alone, oh what ever..
The TV is on, which is on my PC (hubby just installed a TV tuner) and so there is still a sound to my midnight activities, but from time to time when the keyboard is not active and I am nail biting, I can hear the clock ticks.
[b]TICK
TACK

oH crap!

Hate the sound! it was like I am on a deadline. [/i]
[b]How about you guys, do you like the sound of the clock?

The sound of clock ticking is nice, it's like a melody to me when i wanna sleep, but when i'm in rush to finish off things, it will sound like a time bomb to me.. lol =D BUt as compared, i will prefer the ticking on a watch than clock, because it's more precise.. hehe
Mylotting during the night especially during midnight, is very lonely.. Because in real life, most of our family members are asleep, and online, it's hard to find our frenz too.. hehe ^_^ That's why whenever i'm online at night, i will only stay for just 2 hrs or so b4 i will log out ^_^

Hello pehpot.
My girlfriend really hates the ticking of the clock when we want to sleep and she usually closes the door to the living room from where she hears them. I was raised with a ticking clock in my room so I have no problem whatsoever with them.

clock reminds us how precious every single moment we had in life..
It's our alarmist...
It says "It's already time!"
" It's morning ,late afternoon !"
it shuts us sometimes..
it gives us warning with 8s tick tack sounds..
I do like ...though it irritate me sometimes..

I hate that sound. Every night when its too silent then i have to take out the battery from my clock so i wont have to hear that tick tack sound. Its so annoying. And more annoying is if there is a water tap dripping.

No I do not. I hate ticking clocks as they keep me awake. That is why I have a digital clock next to my bed. I cannot stand any clocks making ticking sounds. I have hated it since I was a child and used to lie in bed with a migraine. Each tick was agony and they had no child pain killers in those days.

I recently bought a new clock that is in my bedroom, it ticks and I love it! I find it really soothing and it helps me to relax and get to sleep. My hubby is not really keen on it, he says that it ticks louder on purpose when he goes to bed to keep him awake!

I could hardly hear the clock tick during the day but at night yes, I experience that when staying late at night when everyone else is asleep and no sounds could be heard except the tick of the clock. Well it sounded as if, it was telling me "what are you doing, why not go and sleep, time is running out on you!

I will get two feelings on my mind if i would be in ur place..
The first one is,that sound would have reminded me about some horror scene and something which weakens my mind which poses me to switch the computer off and jump onto the bed directly lol...!!:)
The second situation is that, it would remind me the night out days before exam which would pump up the heart beat of mine simply and make me feel tensed lol:)

when i was in college, i usually stay up late until morning. i get sad when i see the sunrise because i like sitting in front of my PC during the dark.
when i graduated from college, got a night job, my soul started jumping when i see the light outside our office.
in relation to your discussion, while waiting for the sunrise. it took me hundred of times to glance on my PC clock at work to know how many more hours to go to get off the office.

Well it depends when I'm sleeping I concentrate on the ticking sound so I could sleep. Other wise when it seems that the time is pressuring me I don't want to hear that sound.

Hey pehpot! It's funny that you said that! I have a clock
that is right in back of me on the wall in my kitchen/office
that is ticking ticking ticking! Sometimes it doesn't bother
me and sometimes it does! And right now it is bothering me
too! I have one in the bedroom too and sometimes when I am
trying to fall asleep and I can't it drives me crazy! Like
last night I couldn't fall asleep and it was all I could
here! I couldn't see it because it doesn't light up it's
on the wall, but I sure could here it. And I was staring
at the clock next to the bed which does shine right in my
face and I was watching that one! I had an early appointment
which I was kind of dreading so I really couldn't sleep and
I was up until 4:30am! That wasn't fun and I had to get up
at 8:30am! It wasn't a good day!

Me too dislike of the sound of ticking clock. I would not able to sleep if the ticking is too loud. The best way to improve on that is to purchase a clock that does not tick so loudly or move it further away from you. In that way, the noise will be reduced a lot.
Last time I used to have clock which tick quite loudly. Perhaps for the price that is very cheap, the clock tick louder. I have it in my bedroom and could here it while I am on my bed. It is quite annoying at the very beginning as the clock keep on ticking and I could not sleep well for the first few nights. After quite some time, it is weird that I could no longer hear the ticks of the clock. My ears have immune to that noise and no longer able to hear it too clear. Since then, I have be able to sleep well.
When I am in hurry or short of time, the ticking of the clock does really remind me of the deadline. My heartbeat will go with the clock but with faster speed. The ticking makes my mind nervous and worries when my task have not done yet. I could feel the same way when it is time for bed but I am still busy Mylotting. I need to rush for bedtime otherwise I would be listless for lack of sleep the next morning.
Happy Mylotting!

I feel like that too. I have a problem sleeping and what I do is go on the computer and listen to music and watch videos etc. Just so I have something to do even though I should be sleeping but sometimes I just get to accupied in what I am doing that I forget. At look at the time and say oh no I have to go to bed.
