Hi all,I am writing here as this is my own problem. Many of you also will have this I guess. I often get mouth ulcers because of my eating habit. My appetite is not very healthy as I often break meals. My doctor asked me to have lemon juice as it contains vitamin C. Can someone suggest me something better so that I can avoid getting them. Do help pls.

hello mindleader Vitamin C does some help. Also take some vitamin B complex tablets as you can also have frequent mouth ulcers due to lack of them. When you are having ulcers drink plenty of water & take your meals regularly. Some anesthetic gel preparation can help.If the number is many u can continue liquid diet till they subsides. Some antibiotic preparations will also add to good. Thank you. have a nice time at mylot.

Hello mindleader and welcome to mylot. My granddaughter get those mouth sore all the time. Something that hhas helped to heal them is L-Lysine which is an amino acid. Amino acid is a essential componet that is found naturally in the body and my be lacking because of diet. It helps her. Now if I could just get her to take them all the time she might not get then any more. She takes when she gets one and it helps to speed up the healing.

Hello mindleader and welcome to myLot What I would firstly suggest is that you figure out what can be done about preventing them. I had lots of mouth ulcers during the school summer holidays and as soon as the kids went back to school they seemed to disappear quickly. I was a bit stressed and also wasn't getting enough sleep which was the sole cause of my ulcers and of course the kids winding each other up because they wanted to go out but it was raining most of the time. For now, while you have the ulcers I would use a mouthwash with a disinfectant to kill off any nasties in your mouth that aren't helping and then swill your mouth with a cold glass of milk which will soothe them. Obviously I wouldn't swill your mouth with milk straight after using the mouthwash as it really won't taste nice!
