The following article asks the question; is America dead, does she even exist any more? If there is any life left in this old girl, it won't be there in a few years if the democrats have their way with this election! The article is a tough read but a well thought out and pertinent ideas. Here is the article:

Very funny. Everything goes to hell over the past Republican administration, and mystically magically, American will "die" unless Republicans are given another four years.
Just more fear and smear.

"The only drivel you can come up with is how we are victims of '8 years of failed Bush policies"!"
Do you think this country is better off now than it was when Bush took office?
We have record defecits, and a national debt growing faster than it ever did before (and Iraq is not even on the budget!). How is that anything but a failure to you?

ClarusVisum,
Thanks for the comment.
For someone who touts himself as "well-informed" you really are ignorant! The only drivel you can come up with is how we are victims of '8 years of failed Bush policies"! I guess when the only thing you can see is the light of your "messiah" you can't see much else. Simple economics prove that he economy, before the mortgage and financial institution debaucle, was actually quite robust! We have only just now moved into what could be called an actual recession. Do you even know how that is determined? This whole fiasco was brought about by a democratic president(Carter) pushing for more laxness in the mortgage business so more people could own homes. Then another democratic president(Clinton) pushing for even more incentives for lending institutions to lend even greater risks money for homes and peanalties if they didn't. In 2003, Dubya, in all of his redneck stupidness pressed congres to put more regulations on Fannie and Freddie, they refused. In 2005, John McCain did the same and was rebuffed by Barney Frank who said Fannie and Freddie were in no uncertain term in any danger of collapse(boy was he ever wrong)and of course congress passed on any new regs, didn't they!
Now I know you are going to come up with some of the crap you peddle from your blog and you will do everything you can to misdirect and get off subject but the facts are clear; we are heading into a recession caused by the same type of liberal socialism that the man you support is pushing and that, America can do without!

Lets see......we have:
The patriot act, the 3rd infantry devision on deployment on us soil for still vague purpose, the northcom civil assistance plan, who's text is not publicly released and was never subitted to congress, border patrol checkpoints 4o-100 miles from the borders, we have, a potential pending re-emergence of the fairness doctrine, we have REAL ID, the fincial "rescue" bill (translated "economic coup by the FED through congress"), the 2 top tier presidential candidates have ties to the same PLO terrorist, one of which is now drowning in his own "campaign reform" program, the other who we will never know where millions in campaign funding actualy came from and has not the first basic understanding or respect for the contsitutional roll of the federal judiciary system.
Yeh, just keeps getting better and better.

Adiga,
Are you saying this is a good thing or a bad thing? I would hope that someone who is an Israeli is not downing her greatest protector and ally!

The US as we know it is in very serious danger, and that danger is manifest most directly by those very individuals who swore and oath to protect it, us, and the Constitution upon which our laws are based.
Not the least to blame are those voters who insist on sending the same corrupt politicians back to Congress who then make matters worse and erode our liberties more each term that they serve.
They work for us, we do not work for them. Reid and Pelosi along with 0bama are trying to change that, and that is the change that 0bama is talking about... the complete loss of our liberty to a dictatorial nanny state government.
