How many times have you changed residencies in the past five years or ten years? My family has moved quite a bit. We have moved 3 times in the past 5 years and 6 times in 10 years. We move mainly because of my job, but perhaps when I finally settle down...I might get bored and what to move again.

I have not moved that much in my life. I lived in my mother's house until I was about 20 years old. I got married young (mistake!) and moved with my ex-husband into a house. Then I got divorced and moved back into my mom's house for about a year while everything was in process f divorce. Now, I have lived in another house for about two years now and plan to move again within the next six months, hopefully.
So, overall, I have lived in three different houses so far and will hopefully be moving to a home of my own soon, house #4 for me.

Thanks for your comment. Sometimes, I'm torn...I want to move, but I'm tired of moving.

I have never actually moved. The only time I've 'moved' would be during college. I've lived in one small town and then moved into a big town. I live in the dorms but go home for breaks. But everytime I move in or out, it requires me packing up things and moving back home. I'm actually a bit tired of the constant moving and would like to finally get a bit more settled.

I have not moved a whole lot in my life. For the first 13 years of my life I lived in the same place. Then the next 6 years in another, then only 3 years in the next, then 2 years the next and finally I have been in this place for the past 9 and a half years.

Thanks for commenting! This kind of an interesting topic. We are a very mobile society compared to the past.

In the past 5: 8 times. past 10: 12 times. Just trying to figure out where I belong. Next move is out of country.

hi kdhartford! Don't complaint. In the different places you can make a lot of friends and enjoy various culture.on the other hand you lost a lot, you can't talk to you old bulks face to face and work with familiar colleagues.you have to adapt to a new condition, and adjust youself constantly.
If you move frequently because of your job,you can change your job. Almost of senior people are reluctant to move frequently. Really I hope you settle down and don't move any more.
