Is Honesty is the best policy-is the moral has been backdated?

Honesty is the best policy is an old proverb.But I see there is lack honesty among people now a day.Corruption is everywhere.What do you think?

atleast our own concise know that honesty is the best policy a honest man/women word value everywhere that this/that person cannot lie and anyways own own insde ourselves we are satisfied that we are honest thats the greatest satisfaction
