What kind of dog is it if you don't mind me asking? My fiance and I as well as his parents have two chihuahua's and two cat's. The two chihuahua's are white and one brown. The brown one has places on him that have no fur and he is also smaller then the bigger white chihuahua and therefore he gets colder easier. The problem is he also has sharp teeth and he as well as the white chihuahua like to bite at their clothes. I suppose it's because they are not puppies anymore and are bothered more by the sweaters now. Actually the brown one came to us when he was already an adult so therefore he probably would have been biting at it no matter what.
Oh here I go blabbing... anyway, dog sweaters are cute! I want to make some so that at least they wouldn't cost as much as say if they were bought repeatedly.

my dog is a jack russell puppy. she doesn't even seem to mind the sweater but she might when she gets older like yours. the sweater was only $5 from the dollar store but i would like to know how to make them too that way i can have many varieties.

All of my dogs have sweaters for the cold weather. They are Florida dogs and are not used to colder temperatures. My daughter, who is 8, loves to dress up the dogs fo any reason. Her little Papilion/Chi mix is such a baby. She dresses him in dog or doll clothes, carries him around in a doll carrier and he sleeps in her doll crib. I think he believes he is a human baby. My little Yorkie is a real princess and has quite a few dresses. Last Christmas she wore a pretty leopard print dress for a trip to see our frinds in SC. She just got an orange and black pirate dress for her birthday. It's kind of silly, but she looks awfully cute and they don't seem to mind at all. If they were bothered by wearing clothes I wouldn't allow it.

yeah my dog doesn't mind it either. i live in Florida too so i guess thats why she gets so cold. thanks for saying that, i would have never thought of where we live as being the reason.
