Returning Cat

It looks like I'm going to have to return my cat to the shelter. I am having alot of problems with aggression and do not have the space to seperate them permanently. Yesterday my older cat had the other cat suspended in mid air holding her with her claws and ripped her fur out. It has just gotten ridiculous. We still want to get another cat and eventually a dog but we will wait until we are able to move and have enough room. The shelter said that it was fine. They are a small facility maybe housing about 10 cats at the most so, and they charge $20 for adoptions so, there animals don't stay very long so, there not worried that she will find another home. I feel a little sad but I am sadder to watch what goes on in my house between both cats and the stress it is causing with my family. It's funny my next door neighbor has one room with 20 cats in it and I don't know how he can cope and I can't get two of them together.
