[i]Shy? For me,,,,,,
I feel shy if I came late in my class.
I feel shy if I don't make my assignment.
I feel shy if Im sitting on the train & the old lady stadin infront of me,
I feel shy if I don't pay right on time
so
I therefore conclude if u do the job in the right thing & in the right time
you overcome your shyness!

Hi savypat! I am a very shy person and I don't really know why! All I know is whenever I'm going to any party and there will be alot of people, I will find myself in the corner. I never start to talking to anybody that I don't know unless they start to talk me. But I am trying to change a little bit.

i'm really shy and i hate it... i just don't feel comfortable around people at all and it takes me a while to up and feel comfortable with a person... and even then sometimes i am still always shy around them. i'm not really sure i am the this shy...
probably because of all the hurt and bull-crap i've gone through going up.
its just made me completely lose all faith and trust in people... i don't even think i remember how to make friends because i am just that shy. i don't know how to let my wall down.. i think i do but i always seem to fail at it... i wish i could just let go and not be shy anymore but its not that simple or easy.

I wish I could come up with a majic word to help you but I can't. I have gotten over the worse of my situation by telling myself that I am just as good as anybody else, I also tell myself tht people are more interested in themselves then they are going to be in me. All this helps. thank you for your response

After a lifetime of painful shyness that kept me from doing a lot of what I wished I could, I removed all the toxic people from my life. Before long, the shyness started to lift. I realized it was a symptom of the shame I lived with because there were many abusers in my life. Without them, I've blossomed. I love life, and I love sharing ideas with others. Shy people can't do that. I still find it easier online than in person, but it's getting better all the time!
Life can be sooooo sweet!

I used to be a really shy person before, but I overcome it now. I think shyness is due to insecurities. As you grow and getting better, you will then gain confidence and you will overcome your shyness. We should feel confident to ourselves, believe and love ourselves. Shyness should really be overcome, it's a negative behavior. =)

Hehehe not really! Maybe in some circumstances. If someone starts praising me sky high, I usually feel shy. I mean, why should anyone praise me like that?? LOL!!
Cheers and happy mylotting

I am an extremely shy person.
I never used to be.
When I was 8, my mum moved in with her boyfriend, who turned out to be a horrible person who delighted in making everyone feel terrible about themselves and he would constantly abuse my mum.
I all of a sudden just shut off, and couldn't talk or make eye contact with anyone.
Then we moved out when I was 12, and I very slowly started to come out of my shell.
I am alot more outgoing and confident now, but I am still quite shy.
At first, I thought I was just shy because I was scared, but now I realise that it is just my personality.
